BRICKS
- PTO is still looking into selling
personalized bricks to put in or around a sidewalk and possible patio areas
around the playground, this to off put some of the playground cost. They have a variety of sizes and cost. To be an ongoing sale. Possibility of selling at Winter
Carnival. President to check into some
more companies and price shop. More info
to follow.
V. Ongoing Business:
Friday Night Prime Time - Melissa Bandixen:
Meilissa Bandixen and Shannon Mikesell are chairing this upcoming event. Looking at Subway as our dinner, they are
willing to donate 1 party sub if we buy 1.
Rochester State Bank has offered to donate all bottled water for this
event. This year we will be doing
stations so they are moving around. A
progressive Story type thing, and some other little “surprises”. Mystery Reader is set. Maybe a literary group or two to
perform. Will have a trivia contedt to
go along with one of these. We will have
several raffles, we have 24 books from Scholastic to give away. Working on the PA system. *Nancy Harpring has a sound system we
can possibly use. Still in need of
volunteers. Message to go out Friday –
will add to it. Still discussing what we
can do for “give aways” (bookmarks, Small notebooks, with “Rocket” emblems?)
Teacher Appreciation: went last week, went very
well Teachers present thanked PTO.
Winter Carnival: Theresa Gegen – Dec PTO meeting to be
replaced by WC meeting? January meeting
to stay the same and be followed by a WC meeting. And a 3rd WC meeting to be held
Jan 22. Carnival set for Feb. 1,
2013. Plan to use Robbions for WC
tee’s. Will make an original design for
volunteers. Color TBD. Will ask for last year’s chairs to stay in
place. Slushie machines to moved to the
