Mrs. Cray reported our fundraiser was a great success.  A deposit of $4,093.50 was made with early turn in’s.  An additional deposit of nearly $60,000 in sales to follow.  Our profit of the sales to be announced at the next meeting.  Mrs. Cray reported the importance of the fundraiser was to be able to pay the district back for the initial cost of the playground. We have agreed to pay them back over the next 3-5 years.  Due to this we have cut back our budget considerably this year.  Overall off to a great start.

V.                 Boxtops: Heather Archey

Mrs. Archey reported that Tammy Cox will be taking over as Boxtop Chair.  We will again have a blitz twice a year.  The first to be the month of September and the next to happen sometime in January, date to be announced.  Again this year the top winning classroom will win a pizza party or ice cream party.  We will again partner with Good Shepard this year.

VI.              Red Ribbon Week: Mr. Lezon

Thanks to a connection with the school, the St. Louis Cardinals will be sending their mascot  Fredbird along with a few current or former team players to RIS this year.  They have a great program through their website that ties in with the anti-drug theme.  They will be making a 2 day trip to Rochester so we will be sharing with the elementary school.  Mrs. Stocks is looking for another group to come in.
